Greenhough Flour Mill Arlene, now in her sixties, started painting when she was 15 years old. She was trained by Louis Paris.
Anna Orton I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Art has been my lifelong escape from abuse, illness and depression. I started painting about 2 years ago and fell in love with acrylics. This painting shows how colour in our life can help keep darkness away from our minds. If we think positive and hold onto the colour in our lives (be it loved ones or things we love to do) it can keep darkness at bay.
Peter Baildham Peter sadly passed away in March 2015 but his artwork is displayed widely including the Selby Recreation Centre in Shenton Park. Staff at the Spine and Limb Foundation and Quadriplegic Centre, where he was also a well loved client, described him as a quiet achiever who had a calm and welcoming disposition that is echoed in his artwork.

Jessica Heal 'Blended' is an abstract interpretation of the ebb and flow of currents in the ocean. This piece aims to capture the varying flow of water across the globe. Based in Perth, Jess enjoys working with acrylic medium. Creating vibrant and colourful abstract works is something I love doing.
Austin Durnin This photo is of a friends dog named Marley taken at their orchard, it is such a beautiful place and Marley is such a beautiful dog I fell in love with this photo as soon as I took it.
Doris Hayes I love animals and enjoy working on how I see them. This drawing is based on a picture I saw in a book and is my interpretation of a leopard and his curiosity. I started painting in my mid 70's and am always striving to improve myself. A friend of mine teaches art and I was encouraged to come along to classes with another friend who was keen to give art a go.

Kate Campbell Some years ago I used art to explore and express myself during times of fairly debilitating anxiety and depression. Having not picked up the brush for some time, it was pretty tricky to create something coming from my current state which is one of excitement, transition and happiness. I do love a challenge - and so became a piece to symbolise freedom, joy and 'rising above.' I've never been great with the finer details, its the overall feeling in life that I find most important.
Rose Wolfs My name is Rose and I am 70 years old. I love doing many crafts and find cross stitch very relaxing. It is just like doing a jigsaw and you just want to see it finished. This piece is hand-made. As Dr Jay loves cats I thought I would make one out of cross stitch for him. There are 48 different colours in this piece.
Maggie James This piece represents seeing nature unravel in its beautiful timeless existence. Expressing thoughts, emotions and beliefs is where my passion for art comes from. A lot of my artwork reflects my personal interests. I've always been drawn to nature and the human form. I like to tell stories through my artwork, however I also like to give the viewer something to interpret themselves.

Jennifer Woods This painting is my impression of the bush around Bindoon. I took a photo of the area and though it would transpose to a painting. I have been painting within an art class for about 10 years. I find it satisfying that I can paint my interpretation of one of my own photos.
Devini Amarasuriya Stumpwork is a form of raised or 3-dimensional embroidery. In these pictures, fine wire is used to give the wings and antennae a 3D effect.
Robert Birch Of course, travelling is interesting and rewarding and photo records of holidays are a great way to help one remember the fantastic places visited. This photo was taken at Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada, and shows 'Spirit Island.' This would be one of the prettiest places I have ever visited.

Linda Wiegele A quiet observation of the hard working bees in our garden as they pause for a much needed drink. The day was desperately hot and dry and their relief at finding a source of cool water in a safe, shaded spot was almost tangible. The arrived in rotations of six to eight at a time and drank their fill slowly, letting their little bodies cool down before flying off to their next great adventure.
Margaret Edwards This piece reflects traditional Japanese artwork with the cherry blossom and birds a symbol of spring and life. This piece was made in the traditional Japanese style which uses a special punch needle with a silk thread that can be brushed up to make it look like feathers.
Stella Hay The beauty of flowers always bring a smile to people and I love to capture the beauty of the simple pleasures in life through my artworks. This vase of chrysanthemums captured my interest with the mess of flowers that brings simple joy.

Nicole Birch Nicole has taken up painting using the medium of watercolour, learning from YouTube on the internet as a form of relaxation. This painting is not signed, as on the reverse side are her birthday wishes to her proud father for 2016.
Sheree Lewis I have loved our many visits to the Blue Mountains in NSW over the years. The view in the frame of th window gave me a focal point to embrace the beauty of the moment. This image has given me much joy. This photo was taken looking onto the 'Everglades Gardens' in Leura, NSW.
Chris Oddie I love photgraphy and the natural environment and its inhabitants are a favourite subject. This photograph depicts an Australian Pelican enjoying the day along the Murray River at Murray Bend between Ravenswood and Pinjarra.

Lynden Jacobson Inspired by a trash polka style tattoo I have on my forearm; this piece conveys that together in the downpour we are capable of conquering anything. I just like to dabble every now and then, preferring abstract and unformed artwork. I particularly like Aboriginal dot painting for its precise and accurate form and on the other end of the scale I like nonsensical art that makes you use your imagination.
Margaret Edwards This was made using a Japanese embroidery technique called Bunka where a punch needle and silk thread are worked. I lived in the country until I was 25. My mother showed me many crafts as I was growing up. I moved down to Perth in 1965 and have joined Share N Care Craft Group and have learnt many more crafts I love making crafts and enjoy showing and helping people learn different things.
Anna Orton Created in the style of steampunk as some of my previous work, this little lady is an elegant expression of quiet life, exquisite beauty and secrets in her eyes.

Jaimee Scheriri I painted this piece when I was in school. I stumbled across the captivating passionfruit flower and fell in love with it – although I had never seen one in real life. When my now husband and I bought our house, we were blessed to have a stunning garden full of fruit trees and a massive passionfruit vine that hangs over our fence! I am a lover of all things in life – nature, family, pink clouds, and take focus of the little things in life that often go unnoticed.
Jennifer Woods This is my impression of a tree which is growing in the carpark of Belmont Oasis. I think it has lots of character and stamina, growing 'against the odds'.
Barry Watkins This piece is my interpretation of a painting I saw on the cruise liner 'Queen Mary 2'. I have reproduced a section of the original painting as it is a reminder of the enjoyment had on the cruise.

Barry Watkins I enjoy expressing myself through drawing and painting. This boat on calm water is symbolic of a peaceful day. Painting gives you an opportunity to create a sense of emotion, and I hope that this piece brings the viewer a sense of calm.

Sarah Dalby Taken in the stunning South Island of New Zealand, on the Matakitaki River, a perfect mirror image of mountain and lake. Ata time of great upheaval in my life, this photograph brings me enormous peace. It is my hope that it will do so for others. I think what I like most about my photography is the composition and symmetry to so many of my pieces. It brings me great joy to photograph something that ultimately brings so much pleasure to others.
Kristina Claesson This is one of my recent works where my romantic and mystical feelings came out. Imaginary animals are lurking through the mist. A fairytale waiting to be told…
Renee Richardson This artwork was created with chalk pastels and is a drawing of one of my favourite Utuber's dog, Chica. Chica is a Golden retriever and is an absolute sweetheart.

by Arlene Mills I have been painting on and off for 50 years and love to create landscapes. I enjoy seeing the painting gradually come to life. This piece shows a scene along the Swan River at sunset. With the swans as the focal point, I have also included a a reflection of the Perth city into the Swan River which gives the scene another dynamic.
by Barry Watkins I like the challenge of recreating a part of a photograph or image that captures my attention. This drawing was part of an original painting which hangs in a stair well on the Queen Mary Liner. I enjoy expressing myself through drawing and painting, and hope that I have captured the cheeky and playful tone of the original work.

By Ciara Biggar I created the character shown, Firefly, in order to have some sort of AI system linking the city of one of my stories together. While I originally intended to make her simply and AI system I got so attached and developed her so much that she became more human than AI. This lead to the question of "how was she created?" and I asked myself "would you still call it birth if it was an AI?"
by Arlene Mills There is always something mysterious and daring about a wet winters night. If ever you find yourself out on such an evening you will find that you are one of only a few people brave enough (or silly enough) to be out and about. It's a great time to get a better look at your surroundings and appreciate the dramatic.
by Kristina Claesson This painting started off resembling a purple Wisteria branch, but changed into a mountain. The rest flowed from there. I grew up in Sweden and as a child I got to spend a lot of time outdoors. My years spent in nature with animals play a significant part in my whimsical work today.

Brian Harvey This was taken during a motorcycle ride across Mongolia, organised by the charity Bright Blue, who in conjunction with Interplast, aims to raise the standard of medical care, especially for children suffering burns. This photo of Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur was taken in Tariat, Mongolia. Mongolia still has a large portion of the population living a nomadic lifestyle. It was a profound experience to travel across such open spaces.
Tomato Lake I am 6 years old and I love painting and making things with my GK and Poppy. I like shopping, eating chocolate, swimming and gymnastics.
Wendy Bellis A Belmont resident for over 30 years now, I am still in the same house where we raised our family, go shopping and enjoy all the area has to offer. Our girls loved visiting Tomato Lake and going to the movies, providing fond memories of swans and seeing them play with friends.

Karen Johnson I used a paint pouring method for this. I love the fluidity of the paint. I find the ocean so calming and wanted to capture the essence of that peacefulness. I have always enjoyed arty crafty things. I've recently gotten into photography and a new technique of acrylic painting called pouring.
Patricia Dames I absolutely love art, but am not particularly gifted in creating anything conventional. I like to try my hand at abstract creations such as this one which was created through a process of sun dying. It works by painting dyes onto the canvas, overlaying the leaves and then using the sun to set the colours. A bit of a greenie at heart, I love to create things that have a natural element and couldn’t resist using gum leaves for this one.
